New lens

Bling Bling!

Had the old yellowed VW style head light replaced... hu hu hu hu hu...

Before - Oldie VW style headlight ...

After - Crystal Diamond headlight !

Bought a new grille mask, can't wait til next weekend for the project !

The restoration begins!

After a little work out over the weekend, with a few bottles of aerosol paint, my landy is starting to have it old glory back lah..

Ngai decided to respray the wheel arches flat black as the old glossy black paint is starting to chip off making the truck looks like baru come out from some kebun off talipok. Yeah the inanam apek
land rover look! And that looks very york-sorn kan!

That's when the flat blck paint comes in. The outcome? Unexpectedly nice! So nice that i decided to spray the grill, lamp surrounds and the 4 nipples on my bonnet ( the spare wheel carrier ) in flat black as well la. If it cannot turn the apek into Orlando Bloom, at least make it Sean Connery bah.

The initial plan is to repaint the whole car in matelic gray, but not until i kaw dim restoring the car, body panels, macam macam so it looks like it'll still be a long way to go before my 110 gets its new colour.

ok lah the truth is, to pay for the re-painting job I'll need to sell my left kidney first and it takes some times mah. After all i already sold my left ball for the car.

So I'm keeping the eye-catchy Petronas green for now and chap chap whatever i can do to make it look brand new  not so old lah.

Hmm starting to regain its glory liao!
Flat black (not Jack Black ah) can really make your old body parts look new!

Stay tuned bitches!

Buy or not leh ?

After 3 years of dreaming, planning, drooling over magazines, Internet images surfing, shen-kar-lin-ing at car dealers, and few fail attempts of meet-up for car viewing, I finally came across that one 110 that looked worth buying.

I can still remember the first time i saw it, macam falling in love for the first time bah, checking it out over and over again like a green-head boy first see a pussy porn magazine erm what ever it is to turn you on.

Chasis checked - as stong as new. No sign of lubang like the 88" i was about to buy earlier.
Engine checked - although old, but it has been recently overhauled by the seller who repair landy for a living and know what they are doing - in fact they run a reputed landy workshop. Engine sounds clean and more than what i was expecting. At least there's no reason to change the engine in the near future.
Interior checked - Can't expect anything good from a 20 year old workhorse, but the interior was not as bad although a lot of works is needed to put in to make it look alive again. Well I can live with it.

Buy or not leh ?? buy or not ??

So i went home, took a shower, trying to cool down the hard on semangat and try to be reasonable.. worth it or not ? Or it is just another landy that i come across and walk away?

Buy or not leeeeeeh ?! buy or not ??! Cannot decide lah.

It's until the night when i was watching late night TV.. Nat Geo Channel + supper. "Perilous Journeys : The Roof Of Africa" was on ! Bugger driving a 110 over the Sani Pass trying to racun me, you evil bastard!
And then i switched to HBO, The Queen was playing. Bloody hell even QE drives a 110 to cross the river on her hunting trip to racun me! You evil bitch !
(which i found out later it's true that even at the age of 80+, the Queen is still driving her 110 around their royal estate. watch the real documentry here. fui yoh my kind of lady! )

It's a sign! Buka bank account online.. check my piggy bank.. dig out the deepest of my pocket..
kira kira kira. all the savings + selling my third testicle.. Buy lah !!! It's an offer that ngai... cannot refuse!

So in the next few weeks,  payment made, document done, and i finally drove home my first 110. What's next? The restoring the may take years - see if i can tahan that long lah!
